I traveled with him for 4 days, almost 750 km. Traffic is crazy in Sri Lanka, but Mano is a very experienced driver and I felt absolutely safe with him. He is honest, reliable and always on time. He always makes sure that his customers get the best price and he gave back the commission he earned to the customer. His interest is to get his customers satisfied. He doesn't take you to tourist traps where he can earn high commissions ( unlike other drivers ). He takes you to places where you get the best service and experience.
He always worries about the people who try to rip off tourists ( e.g. local guide in Polonnaruwa or Sigiriya ) and advice you not to take their service.
Mano only started learning English less than a year ago, but I didn't know it at the beginning and didn't notice it. His English is very good!
I would recommend Mano to everyone visiting Sri Lanka. I especially liked that he didn't ask me to transfer money in advance and didn't ask for the full amount at the beginning of the trip, unlike other drivers I enquired. Therefore, I felt I could trust him which was proving during the trip.
